    Abstract
The study examined „Influence of Head Teachers‟ Transformational Leadership on Teacher Job Performance in Government Aided Secondary Schools in Kawempe Division, Kampala District‟. The study answered three research objectives namely; to find how head teachers‟ intellectual stimulation impact on teacher job performance. To find how Head teachers‟ inspirational motivation improves teacher job performance. To find out how head teachers‟ individual consideration can improve teacher performance. The study used a cross sectional survey which involved qualitative and quantitative approaches to gather data from 130 respondents in all, including 125 survey respondents and 5 key informants selected using simple random sampling and purposive sampling for key informants. Data was collected using questionnaire and interview guide as well as observation guide. SPSS was used to generate descriptive statistics, where Pearson‟s linear co-relation index was used to correlate the study variables, while qualitative data was analyzed by use of thematic content analysis technique and presented though narrative techniques, paraphrasing and direct quotation of responses. The study found that there was lack of head teachers‟ intellectual stimulation, head teachers‟ inspirational motivation and head teachers‟ individual consideration that could influence teachers‟ job performance positively. The study concluded that there was insufficient contribution of head teachers‟ intellectual stimulation, head teachers‟ inspirational motivation and head teachers‟ individual consideration towards teachers' job performance. The study recommends, that head teachers should be more transformational in their leadership, for instance, by appreciating individual teacher contributions by compensating them adequately and on time, through salary, wages and allowances; the head teachers should also maintain open communication and provide support to teachers as well as encouraging them with regular training, mentoring and provision of teaching and instructional materials to enhance their job performance.
