Determinants of export performance in Tanzania
Abstract
This study examined the key determinants that impact Tanzania's export performance using the OLS method. The findings revealed that GDP per capita, FDI, and inflation are positively related to exports while annual population growth and interest rates are negatively related to exports in Tanzania. The study recommends creating an attractive climate for the FDI through infrastructure development and providing tax holidays. The study also recommends investment in education and workforce development to enhance GDP per capita and improve the country's export performance.
