There was a relationship between need to provide job communication and employee work productivity of the support staff in Makerere University. The researcher therefore recommended that managers should strengthen employee relations by allowing the support staff to join and be active in clubs and groups, be able to talk to others, visit other departments and faculties to share knowledge and experience in doing work better. After appraisal, managers should bring back the results to let them know their future level of effort, activities, results and task direction. Finally the researcher recommended that managers should continue using supervisors to pass information to the support staff. The supervisors are more nearer to the support staff and this will help reduce the inadequacies that may exist while communicating.en_US
