dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at establishing the relationship between usage of Information and Communication Technology Tools and job performance of early childhood lecturers in Kyambogo University. The specific objectives included; examining the relationship between perceived ease of use of ICT tools and job performance; Finding out the relationship between Perceived usefulness of ICT Tools and job performance of Early Childhood lecturers in Kyambogo University and to establish how the attitudes of ECD influence their job performance in Kyambogo University. Using both quantitative and qualitative approaches, the study adopted a correlational survey design. Data were collected from 32 respondents by the use of questionnaires and interview guide and analyzed using Pearson’s Linear Correlation Coefficient (PLCC). The study findings empirically showed that (i) perceived ease of use of CT tools, (ii) perceived usefulness of ICT Tools, and (iii) attitudes of ECE lecturers towards ICT tools have a positive relationship job performance. Therefore, it was concluded that perceived ease of use of ICT tools, perceived ease of use of ICT tools and attitudes towards ICT tools have a positive relationship with job performance. The study recommended that University administration should make ICT tools accessible to all lecturers as a way of enhancing their job performance. University administrators should enable all lecturers to be to use ICT tools as a way of promoting their job performance. Since lecturers have a positive attitude towards the use of ICT tools, University authorities should invest heavily to provide an adequate number of computers and enhance internet connection in the university to ensure easy access to teaching-learning materials on the web.en_US
