Assessment of job expectations of the millennial employees at Kyamuhunga tea factory
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate job expectations of the millennial employees at kyamuhunga tea factory. The Objectives of the study were to understand the various job expectations of millennials, to examine the working conditions expectations of millennial employees, and to examine and to examine the Job security expectations of millennial employees at Kyamuhunga Tea Factory. This study used a cross-sectional research design that involved both quantitative and qualitative methods. The sample was 96 respondents but the study managed to get 50 respondents and thus, the response rate was 80%. Purposive sampling was used to select management employees while simple random sampling was used to select millennial employees. Quantitative data was analyzed using descriptive statistics (frequencies and percentages). Job expectations of millennials, working conditions expectations of millennial employees, and the Job security expectations of millennial employees had a significant effect on millennial employee at Kyamuhunga tea factory. It was concluded that job expectations affected millennials and needed to be met in order to enhance millennial employees; but the focus should be on those dimensions with a significant effect namely job security expectations and working conditions expectations.
