Faculty of Arts "new" Building completed in 1952

Abstract

This photograph shows the Faculty of Arts 'new building completed in 1952 and named Queens Court in 1954 in honor of the visit of Her majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh. It was later renamed Arts Court. this faculty is as old as Makerere. It began modestly as a faculty for training of clerks, administration and teachers. The Faculty has grown from strength to strength by adding on itself more departments and by giving birth to new fledged faculties
