dc.description.abstract The study sought to investigate the influence of educational resources on the internal efficiency of the secondary schools in Pallisa district in Eastern Uganda. The study was guided by three objectives namely, to establish whether (i) physical resources (ii) financial resources (iii) human resources, do affect the internal efficiency of the secondary schools in Pallisa district. The study was prompted by the high rate of student’s repetition and dropouts in secondary schools in Pallisa District. The study took a descriptive cross-sectional research design where both qualitative and quantitative approaches were employed, involving a sample size of 330 respondents selected using the stratified method from the secondary schools of Pallisa district, to participate in the study by answering the designed questionnaires as well as the interview guides for school prefects and head teachers. Frequencies and percentages were used to represent the distribution of the respondents on the different questions. Pearson linear-correlation co-efficient (r) was used to test the level of co-relation between the variables. The study findings showed that there was a positive relationship between each of (i) physical resources (ii) financial resources and (iii) human resources on the internal effeciency of secondary schools in pallisa district. The researcher therefore concluded that when each of (i) physical resources (ii) financial resources and (iii) human resources are enhanced, then internal effeciency in secondary schools will also be achieved. The researcher therefore recommended that the school administrators and managers should provide adequate physical resources as this will enhance the internal efficiency of secondary schools in Pallisa district. The school managers should provide adequate funds to secondary schools as this will enhance the internal efficiency of secondary school in Pallisa district. The government and directors of schools should provide adequate and qualified teaching and support staff as this will enhance the internal efficiency of secondary schools in Pallisa district. en_US
