Abstract

General Objective: The general objective of the study will be to examine the nature of UPDF’s engagements in providing security in the Great Lakes Region. Specific Objectives: 1. To analyse the challenges faced by the UPDF when fighting to promote peace and security in Democratic Republic of Congo. 2. To examine the causes and effects of challenges faced by the UPDF when fighting to promote peace and security in Democratic Republic of Congo. 3. To investigate possible solutions to the challenges faced by the UPDF in the provision of peace and security in DR. Congo.
