This research work was about the role of the Christian Families in education of children in Holy Rosary Parish Gulu Archdiocese in light of Amoris Laetitia. The main emphasis was based on chapter seven of Amoris Laetitia, toward a better education of children. The central problem is about the negligence or ignorance of the Christian families regarding the issues of education of children has caused many psychological, social and religious harms. There is need for clarity to the Parents that they are the first educators of their children and other stake holders like the religious leaders, teachers, Ministry of education, sports and Technology comes in later. Parents should impart all what is needed for the proper upbringing of the children like instilling in them good morals that suits the society. Those who are in the Christians families in Holy Rosary Catholic Parish are around 921. The 100 respondents gave their views about our collective responsibilities to see a success in the education of children and not to leave it to the parents only. All stake holders are called upon to participate actively without leaving it to parents and classroom teachers only. When children are not educated properly by their parents, they end up in early teenage pregnancy, early marriages, indecent dressings by children, lack of respect and immorality a which when dealt with by proper education of children by Christian families, all those vices can be avoided or reduced. Most of the issues that my respondents gave like many school dropouts, street children and early teenage pregnancy come due to the negligence of the parents in Christian families. The parents also are being encouraged to correct their children on the wrong code of living and encourage them on the correct ways of life in the society like; by mentoring and instilling good morals in the children. The school must also be an extension of home so that the experiences of the child both at school and at home can be related and continuous because learning is a continuous process. The question of the areas of weakness among those in the Christian families were also noted like too much freedom given to the children by some parents and most of the parents tend to take their children to school right from the tender age that demands them to be helped by the parents. The parents should also take their priorities as first educators. The question on sex education of which most of the respondent encouraged that it should be done right from home by the aunt, uncles or even the parents but basing on the age brackets and in schools, it should be moderated with prudence. Lastly the question of freedom should not be abused but moderated by the parents for proper education of children. They should always make a follow up on what their children are doing.en_US
