    Abstract
The current study encompassed on the relationship between Intimate Partner violence victimization (IPVV), Psychological Wellbeing and Self-Image among boda-boda riders in Kawempe municipality. The purpose of the study was to ascertain the prevalence of Intimate Partner violence victimization and its relationship with Psychological Wellbeing and Self-Image among men in Uganda particularly in Kawempe municipality. A cross-sectional descriptive method of study design was employed in which a total of 336 male boda-boda riders participated. The findings in this current study showed that majority 87% of the participants were between ages 18 and 40yrs and that 72% were married. A life time prevalence of IPVV was seen at 45.5% whereas a one year prevalence of IPVV was 15.8%. It was also established that there was a positive relationship between IPVV and self-image and that poor psychological well-being affected individual’s body self image. In conclusion, the present study suggests that depending on the time frame considered, IPVV is relatively prevalent among males. This challenges the tradition position that only women experience IPVV and that if men do suffer IPVV at all, it is to a negligible degree. I therefore recommend that stakeholders engaged in the fighting of intimate partner violence should appreciate that the men are also victims of IPVV and that they should increase efforts to prevent or fight the problem not just among women but also in men. Key words: Intimate Partner Violence, Psychological Wellbeing and Body Self-Image.
