    Promotion of justice: A strategy towards integral human development among the Christians of Kamuge-Olinga Parish, Tororo Arch Diocese

    Abstract
    The research was limited to the thematic scope of Catholic Social Teaching branch of theology. The general objective was to contribute to development in theory and practice by establishing the thesis that promotion of Justice is indispensable for the attainment of Integral Human Development. The prevailing injustices pose a great obstacle to this important aspect. Therefore this study had the following specific objectives to be achieved; finding out the level of Integral Human Development; finding out the greatest barrier against Integral Human Development. To show that promotion of Justice is a strategy towards Integral Human Development. Finding out the means towards which Integral Human Development can be achieved. The methodology used includes; the use of questionnaires, interviews, group discussions. Therefore the major findings of the study include; the fact that there is low holistic development, they also show that the many injustices pose a great obstacle to holistic development, and that there is more need for promotion of justice as the only bridge towards Integral Human Development; it shows that Integral Human Development is necessary for holistic development, and finally the promotion of justice is a necessity for Integral Human Development. The research calls upon everybody to uphold the practice of justice and do away with unjust way of living. The research too recommends the practice of justice, recognition of people’s rights, full involvement in community activities, sharing of resources equitably.
